He began recording music as a teenager while working as a mechanic, and gained early traction after being signed by country-rap artist Upchurch. His single "County Line" delivered his first mainstream chart success, and he later reached the Billboard Hot 100 with the platinum-certified "Love You Again." He is signed to Warner Music Nashville.
